The Place

More about Cala Conta.

Cala Conta

A few minutes from the villa, Cala Conta is one of the most luminous coves on the western coast of Ibiza — three small bays of turquoise water, low sandstone cliffs, and the silhouettes of Bosc and Conillera holding the horizon. The light here is famous: a slow, golden glow that lingers long after the sun has touched the sea.

Sunset Ashram

Perched on the rocks above the cove, Sunset Ashram has become an Ibiza ritual — barefoot tables, incense and a DJ who follows the falling sun. Arrive an hour before sunset for a glass of wine on the terrace, then drift down to the sand as the sky turns.

Cala Escondida

Tucked just behind Cala Conta and reached by a short pine-lined path, Cala Escondida — the "hidden cove" — is a small wooden chiringuito built into the rocks. Hammocks, fresh fish, and a slower, more bohemian pace; the kind of place you find once and return to all week.

Cala Bassa

Around the headland, Cala Bassa opens onto a wide arc of pale sand sheltered by pines and juniper. The water is glassy and shallow — perfect for a long morning swim — and the legendary CBbC beach club anchors the bay for a leisurely lunch under the trees.
