Direkt vor dem Hauptwohnraum verwandelt eine riesige Pergola im balinesischen Stil — schwarze Stahlpfosten, gekrönt von einem dichten Palmdach und Raffia-Lüstern — das Sommerhaus in einen einzigen, durchgehenden Raum. Tiefe Leinensofas, Kelim-Kissen und ein gewaltiger Couchtisch aus Massivholz öffnen sich zum Garten aus Kakteen, Palmen und Pinien, sodass Innensalon und Außenlounge nahtlos ineinander übergehen.

Der Pool

Wasser, schwebend über dem Meer.

Ein langer, steingefasster Pool, gespannt zwischen Schirmpinien, ein strohgedeckter Pavillon für lange Mittagessen und Liegen im Schatten von Leinenparasolen. Jedes Stück hier ist persönlich vom Eigentümer ausgewählt — einem französisch-italienischen Unternehmer, geprägt zwischen Europa und den USA, heute in Rom. Die Stücke wurden einzeln gesucht, größtenteils über 1stDibs: geflochtene Laternen und ein Live-Edge-Esstisch aus einer Wiener Galerie, skandinavische Teakliegen aus Kopenhagen, Keramik und Rattan aus Palm Springs. Nichts hier ist Stangenware — der Pool ist einfach der Ort, an dem die Sammlung aufs Wasser trifft.
